The purpose of rail transit design is to bring out fully integrated systems that meet operators’ long-term needs while delivering maximum return on investment. Each component must be carefully designed, and all sub-systems must function together as a smooth system.
HI-SIM applies state-of-the-art tools and extensive rail transit experience to the design of practical solutions conforming to requirements and standards. We help our customers manage risks, control costs, and deliver to their patrons – the passengers – safe, reliable, and efficient rail systems. Our services include system planning, preliminary and detailed design, specification development, procurement strategy, bid evaluation, design review.
We specialize solely in rail systems engineering, with proven expertise in electromechanical systems, including vehicles, signalling, traction power supply, and electrification systems. We assist clients with planning rail transit development and providing engineering services.
We have experience in every type of mass rail transportation system: tramways, light rail transit (LRT), metro, and trolleybus systems. We have also experience on mainline railways.
Our practical and academic background, experience and first-hand knowledge of the environment in which the system must operate provide a valuable resource for our clients. When clients call on us, they know their needs and expectations will be met, whether for new systems or system upgrades.
HI-SIM Technology & Engineering participated in the planning, design and development of many rail transit systems. HI-SIM team includes people who have been the director of the National Railway Signaling Development Project and personally involved in the development of systems such as interlocking, which is the core of the signaling system. In this context, we are able to provide services on designing, developing, examining and consulting on signaling systems.
HI-SIM has a team of experts in SCADA and Automation and been supported by the Lecturers of ITU Control and Automation Engineering Department to provide system design and / or consultancy services.
Thanks to the academic staff of HI-SIM and the employees who have taken part in many projects in the sector, we provide training and consultancy for traction power and signaling systems to local and foreign experts. Our training packages can be shaped according to the demands and needs of the client company and include, but not limited to, the following main topics:
HI-SIM is the author of many articles and papers which are about the encountered problems from real life projects field, and presents solutions to help to raise the awareness of the players in the market by sharing information on these issues. Rail systems related publications’ titles are given in PUBLICATIONS page.
